Concept Art for Imperfect Illusions!
This is the very first art I comissioned for this book. I sent the concept way before I had even gotten close to writing this scene. Not surprisingly, lots of details changed when I actually did write it!
This is the beginning of what became the barn scene. Y'know. That one. At first I pictured it as a stolen moment in a dilapidated house, but a barn worked out better. Someday I'd definitely love to get art of what the actual scene looked like.
This is from the dream scene where Elliot tells Sully about Swift's death, when Sully crawled into his lap and held him tight. Where they Almost Kiss.
Both of these artworks were comissioned from Cutetanuki-chan. The first in 2019, the second in early 2021 when I needed some motivation to get editing again.
